It’s a role built for ambitious future superstars who want to grow beyond ticket-churning support into a trusted advisor who understands people. The Workplace Technology Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the IT infrastructure and services supporting MACS and VCEA’s online platforms operate securely, efficiently and in compliance with availability requirements. This role will also contribute to projects that deliver new or enhanced IT services for MACS and VCEA. The Workplace Technology Engineer will also be required to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of MACS systems and infrastructure, whilst maintaining excellence in service delivery. Desired Skills and Experience WHAT YOU WILL DO Manage endpoints across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android using Intune, JAMF, and provisioning tools. Adept at enforcing policies, automating workflows, managing SOE’s and supporting operations. Oversee application lifecycle and automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Microsoft Graph API to package, deploy, update, and retire apps. Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, acting as a senior escalation point to resolve complex endpoint and application issues using diagnostic tools and structured methodologies. Monitor and report on endpoint health using Intune, Endpoint Analytics, and Power BI, generating insights and trends through automated dashboards and data-driven reporting. Support Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pool configuration, FSLogix profile management, and integration with endpoint management and Microsoft cloud infrastructure. ABOUT YOU Strong technical communication and customer focus with the ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical users, while exercising patience, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Advanced troubleshooting and support with Level 2/3 experience resolving hardware and software issues using tools like SCCM and Intune, backed by strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with application packaging and deployment includes creating, deploying, and managing complex application packages (e.g. Adobe, Power BI, Canva, Win32) using Intune and scripting techniques such as PowerShell. Experience with Windows Autopilot, INTUNE enrollment and co-management with Configuration Manager. Microsoft Intune (including Intune Suite), Endpoint Manager, policies, compliance, app deployment, updates (Windows Update for Business). Experience in automation and Device Lifecycle Management with proficiency in Power Automate and Power Apps, along with provisioning, patching, compliance, and retirement of devices. Expertise in Cloud & Virtual Desktop Infrastructure including implementing, administering, and monitoring Azure Virtual Desktop environments and associated services like Azure AD and Windows Autopilot.
