The key duties of the position include The Role The Information Assurance Systems Program Office (IA SPO) is seeking a highly motivated APS 5 Program Governance Officer who will support the delivery and implementation of governance and compliance measures for the management of Defence materiel and Business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Identifying and interpreting relevant legislation, regulations, and policies in support of business processes. Developing, managing and maintaining approval applications for controlled Defence material. Working with limited guidance in undertaking specialist research, conducting investigations, and performing procedural support work. Providing succinct, clear, and accurate advice to internal and external to Defence stakeholders. Assisting in the development of Plans, Procedures, Instructions and Standing Orders to support business objectives. Supporting Program compliance regarding corporate performance, WHS and Security. About our Team (IA SPO) is part of Joint Command, Control, Communications, and Computers Systems (JC4S) Branch within Joint Systems Division (JSD) of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), delivering and sustaining information assurance technology in support of the Australian Defence Organisation. The APS 5 Program Governance Officer position is based in Canberra, and is part of a small, collaborative team that provides compliance and governance advice to all functions within IASPO and to external stakeholders.
