POSITION DESCRIPTION - ESTIMATOR (x2) Role Title: Estimator Location: Brisbane / SEQ Reports To: Estimating Manager / Operations Manager Employment Type: Full-time Role Purpose Prepare accurate, timely estimates for insurance repair, remedial, residential and light commercial building projects. Conduct desktop assessments, interpret reports, validate scopes and produce priced quotes aligned with insurer and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates for insurance repairs, remedial works and building projects. Review reports, scopes, engineering docs, moisture readings, drone imagery and client instructions. Complete desktop estimating using internal systems and insurer portals. Conduct site visits (when required) to validate scope and confirm quantities. Identify variations, latent conditions and incorrect scoping. Liaise with insurers, assessors, PMs and site teams to clarify requirements. Maintain accurate cost databases and pricing structures. Support delivery teams with scope clarification and pricing adjustments. Provide well-structured written estimates and supporting documentation. Skills & Experience Experience in estimating within insurance building, remedial, residential or commercial construction. Strong knowledge of building methods, materials and repair processes. Ability to read plans, scopes, reports and engineering documentation. Strong written skills and attention to detail. Confidence working through insurer guidelines and pricing frameworks. Proficiency with estimating software, insurer portals or similar systems. Attributes Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability. High accuracy and consistency in documentation.
