Heavy Duty Roster: FIFO Ex Perth - Various rosters Employment Type: Full-time Join a FIFO maintenance team in the Pilbara working on rail, mobile plant, and Flashbutt operations. Maintain and repair loaders, excavators, rail machinery, and Flashbutt Welders across workshop, field service, and breakdowns—gain variety, stability, and hands-on experience with one of Australia’s largest rail fleets. Duties & Responsibilities Service and maintain small to mid-range plant and rail equipment Work on loaders, excavators, LV's and rail support machinery Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic breakdowns Perform planned maintenance and inspections Complete repair reports, logs and documentation Conduct safety checks, risk assessments and equipment inspections Report delays or issues to your supervisor Manage parts usage and stock requirements on site Skills & Experience Trade Certificate: Heavy Diesel, Hydraulics, Fitter, or Drill Fitter (AUS/NZ recognised) Strong mechanical and hydraulic systems knowledge Basic electrical understanding Flashbutt Welding experience (highly regarded) Construction White Card C-Class Driver's Licence (HR desirable) Current First Aid, CPR or Fire Attack training Off-road / All-terrain 4WD course (desirable) Ability to pass a rail medical and ongoing D&A Strong safety mindset and proactive work approach Basic computer skills Benefits & Perks Cert II & III in Rail Infrastructure pathways Specialist training in: Flashbutt Welding (TLIW0006) Aluminothermic Welding (TLIW3015) Opportunity for high-risk licences: Dogging, Rigging, Crane Ops, RRV Mentoring from expert rail technicians Access to one of Australia's largest specialist rail fleets Supportive, people-first culture focused on long-term career growth How to Apply: Click "APPLY" now and take the next step in your FIFO career.
