About The Role We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our high-performing Legal team, focusing on supporting the TAB Retail business, the MAX Gaming and Integrity services business and our organisation-wide support functions such as procurement and technology. This is a great opportunity for a lawyer who’s eager to gain broad commercial exposure while also having the opportunity to advise on more specialist issues such as privacy and intellectual property. You’ll work on a full spectrum of advisory and transactional matters. This variety means no two days will be the same, and you’ll be involved in a mix of day-to-day legal support and strategic projects. More specifically, you will: Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. Provide legal advice on regulatory, compliance, governance, and operational matters. Collaborate with other members of the Legal team. Ensure consistent, high-quality legal support across the business. Contribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, and legal awareness within the organisation. About You You’re a collaborative and adaptable legal professional who’s keen to learn and ready to take on a wide range of matters. You’re comfortable working with different stakeholders, enjoy variety in your work, and can balance attention to detail with a pragmatic and commercial approach. You bring: Post-admission experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, gained in-house and/or in private practice. A willingness to work across a broad range of legal issues, transactions, projects and business areas. Strong negotiation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
