About the Role: We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer – Instrument & Controls to lead and execute commissioning activities for an onshore project portfolio. This role will oversee control system testing, FATs, isolations, work packs, and interface with multidisciplinary teams to support pre-commissioning and start-up activities. The successful candidate will ensure QHSE compliance, drive safe work practices, and provide technical guidance to commissioning engineers and technicians. Key Responsibilities: Lead integrated control system and instrument commissioning activities. Manage control system changes, FATs, and onshore work scopes. Oversee execution of work packs, resolution of site queries, and support module power and process start-up. Manage subcontractors and interface with technical authorities. Participate in schedule and execution planning to ensure realistic and achievable timelines. Lead QHSE initiatives, hazard assessments, and job safety analysis. Coordinate resources, materials, tools, and spares to achieve schedule targets. Review and approve supplier documentation and contribute to vendor mobilisation. Monitor punch list closure and provide input to progress reporting, VO creation, and submittals. Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant trade certification. TBOSIET, MSIC & CAEB current. Minimum 8 years’ experience in onshore Oil & Gas projects. Experience leading multi-discipline commissioning teams and managing onshore campaigns. Knowledge of Brownfield facilities, construction, and commissioning practices. Proficient in PTW, hazard assessments, and materials/tools management. Demonstrated leadership, planning, organisation, and communication skills. Personal Attributes: Delivery-focused, proactive, and self-motivated. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to manage subcontractors and stakeholders effectively.
