Talenza is seeking a AO3 Communication Officer for a Government department in Townsville, QLD to provide essential communications and stakeholder engagement support across a wide range of planning, pre construction and construction projects. This role plays a key part in meeting the Northern District's commitments to the Australian and Queensland Governments under the 2022-23 to 2025-26 QTRIP program. The successful candidate will work within the Communications & Stakeholder Management (CSM) team, delivering high-quality communication materials and assisting with low risk stakeholder enquiries, allowing senior team members to focus on more complex and urgent matters. Key Responsibilities Develop well written communications materials including correspondence, flyers, social media posts and web updates Maintain and update project webpages and analytics reports Support the creation and maintenance of The Hive webpages Produce project flyers and coordinate their distribution Manage responses to low level stakeholder issues and enquiries Assist with managing the correspondence tracker Source stakeholder contact information, property details and maintain data in spreadsheets and Consultation Manager Provide support at stakeholder meetings with Program Engagement Officers, including note taking and logistics Handle calls to the 1800 number and respond to low risk enquiries About You Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging content Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement or administration (government experience highly regarded) Ability to work proactively, manage competing priorities and support a busy team Confident engaging with stakeholders on low-risk matters Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data and tracking tools What's on Offer An hourly rate between $45-$55 Contract until 18/08/2026 with possible extensions Opportunity to support major Queensland infrastructure projects Join a supportive, collaborative communications and engagement team Apply Now If this role sounds like a great fit, please click APPLY NOW or send your CV to: jacob.farrell@talenza.com.au
