About your opportunity The role of the Enrolled Nurse is to work within a multidisciplinary recovery framework, provide mental health nursing practice consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the mental health service, to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. This role is diverse and requires nursing staff to provide nursing care in relation to chronic disease, wound management and recovery from substance use disorders. This Enrolled Nurse position provides direct nursing care to patients utilising clinical skills under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse utilising education and support, encompassing purposeful evidenced based practice interventions to consumers, recognising safety of all. The Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit provides opportunity and support for consumers to regain independence managing their mental illness in the community. Highly Desirable: Successful completion of modules related to medication administration and peripheral intravenous (IV) therapy.
