Job Description Core Accountabilities: Accountable for reviewing and posting AP invoices into the accounting system, including the co-ordination of other resources to assist with this process; Ensure timely completion of accounts payable reconciliation and resolution of reconciling items within expected timeframes; Coordinate and process weekly payment runs for vendors, utilising DV-preferred payment mechanisms (such as BPay, corporate credit cards); Support the Team Lead – Transactional Services to facilitate the timely creation of new suppliers in financial accounting systems including coordinating with external service provider for supplier validations and integrity of the supplier Masterfile; Responsible for the month end closure and reporting of AP function and related balances; Preparation of monthly accrual journals and other journals as allocated; Preparation of allocated month end reconciliations for review; Assist the Team Lead – Transactional Services to perform Finance Inductions and communicate key financial processes to new starters within the orgnisation; Address IT system integration and offer support to project teams for processing of invoices; In collaboration with the Team Lead – Transactional Services, assist with meeting the organisation’s regulatory reporting obligations relating to the procure to pay process; Work with a mindset to consistently identify mechanisms to improve processes and compliance within the Accounts Payable function and actively contribute to improvement initiatives; Assist with Audit information requests as required; and Perform other tasks as they arise and as requested including assisting with the Accounts Receivable process for leave cover and/or during peak processing times as appropriate. Desired Skills and Experience About You Education: Accounting or other related qualification (Cert IV or above), or a commitment to working towards one is desirable. Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in providing transitional services including supplier reconciliations and payments oversight Minimum 5 years’ experience in utilising financial systems for processing Accounts Payable/Receivable transactions. Experience in managing procurement compliance obligations (VPS or ISO – Quality Accredited environments or similar).
