Milestone IT is seeking an IT Support Specialist with the capacity to work in the office of a large manufacturing organisation. This is an exciting, stable career opportunity targeting professionals with a mature background. This is a longterm contractual opportunity lasting 12 months initially. The intention is for the role to likely undergo an extension or become a permanent engagement. The core responsibilities include: Technical Requirements (L1 L2 Core) Operating system support: Ability to easily troubleshoot and support Windows 10/11 environments (installation, configuration, performance tuning, etc…). Active Directory (AD) Management: Ability to easily perform Level 1 tasks in Active Directory (creating, disabling and modifying user accounts). M365/Office Suite Support: Ability to easily identify and resolve Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive-related issues. Hardware and Peripherals: Capacity to run desktop, laptop and mobile device diagnostics and component replacement (e.g. troubleshooting issues that arise among printers and scanners). Networking Basics: Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) relating to basic connectivity issues that may arise. Service & Operations Requirements Incident and Request Management: Strong capacity to use an IT Service Management (ITSM) Ticketing System (e.g. ServiceNow) to log, track, prioritise, and quickly close incidents and service requests. Capacity for support: Capacity to provide effective support remotely (e.g. could include tools such as TeamViewer or RDP) and through hands-on, desk-side support - within the office. Communication and documentation: Ability to concisely explain issues to a range of staff the capacity to create or update knowledge base articles as well as procedural documents for common issues.
