Lead Workflow, Quality & Technical Accuracy | Brisbane-Based Role Suppose you're a technically strong design leader who enjoys structure, quality, and running a drafting team with clear standards and predictable delivery. In that case, this role offers the opportunity to oversee and elevate a full steel-framing design function across both onshore and offshore teams. This business delivers large-scale framing systems for residential and commercial construction and is strengthening its internal design capability to support growth, improve accuracy and lift overall operational performance. You'll manage the complete drafting workflow from forecasting and job allocation through to documentation quality, modelling standards, version control and delivery timeframes. The role is suited to someone who can set the operational rhythm for a technical team, keep work flowing cleanly and ensure drawings and models are consistently accurate, buildable and ready for production. You'll work closely with production, construction and engineering stakeholders to ensure models integrate smoothly into manufacturing processes, meet tolerances, and minimise RFIs and rework. You'll actively resolve design issues, remove blockers early and maintain strong communication so downstream teams always have clarity and complete information. You'll also own the technical governance of the drafting function: templates, libraries, modelling rules, naming conventions, and digital workflows. This includes ensuring 100% compliance, protecting documentation integrity and driving continuous improvements in speed, accuracy and consistency. Structured root-cause analysis, capability uplift and system improvement will be part of your regular operating rhythm. The right person will have experience leading drafting, design or detailing teams within steel framing, prefabrication, structural systems, or similar buildability-focused environments. You'll bring strong technical insight, operational discipline, and a calm, solutions-focused communication style. You'll also be someone who enjoys building capability, coaching, setting expectations, lifting standards and developing a team over time. This role suits someone who loves running a mature technical function: predictable workflow, strong standards, disciplined delivery and clear ownership of outcomes.
