As the business continues to grow, they are strengthening their development team with the addition of a Project Development Officer. THE ROLE This position plays a key role in identifying and advancing our clients' project portfolio. Reporting to the Origination Manager, you will help guide projects through feasibility, approvals and connections, ensuring they are fully prepared for handover and future delivery. The role combines assessment, consultant coordination, landowner negotiations, and approvals management, with a strong emphasis on maintaining momentum across all development activities and concurrent projects. You will play a key role in cultivating new opportunities and contributing to the pipeline of solar and battery storage projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client & Commercial Engagement Support ongoing communication with clients and maintain positive, professional relationships Identify and nurture opportunities across the NEM Provide regular updates to ensure clients have clear visibility of project status Stakeholder and Government Liaison Assist with navigating State and Federal approval pathways under guidance from the Origination Manager Coordinate input from consultants and technical specialists to meet project milestones Monitor deliverables from external providers to ensure quality and alignment with project objectives Participate in community consultation activities as needed Land Acquisition Contribute to securing land, development options and negotiating contracts Assist in the preparation and management of site-specific permits and supporting documentation Frequent travel regionally and interstate to secure sites Technical Coordination, Grid & Regulatory Support Organise and oversee required technical studies such as surveying, acoustic assessments, bushfire reviews and other specialist reports Co-ordinate development approvals Ensure environmental obligations, including EPBC Act 1999 requirements, are incorporated into project planning Support Origination Manager and Grid teams' studies to progress connection applications and enquiries Reporting & Project Administration Prepare and circulate weekly updates on project progress internally and externally Manage documentation, filing and project correspondence to a high standard Respond to additional reporting or admin tasks as directed EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Experience supporting development application processes for Solar, BESS or Wind projects Ability to work with multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholders Prior sales experience with strong communication and relationship-building skills Confidence in preparing briefs, reviewing proposals and coordinating consultant engagements Strong administration, document control and attention to detail Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat WHY JOIN?
