About the role Reporting to the Human Resources Manager Corporate the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Aeris Resources will be the frontline in engaging and sourcing talent, managing the entire end-to-end talent acquisition process. This role involves proactively collaborating with HR partners and hiring leads to ensure the identification and selection of the best candidates. The Senior Talent Specialist will strive to provide an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers, ensuring that the right talent is matched to the right roles at the right time and an eye to continuous improvement on recruitment processes, support activities and systems. Your success will stem from your experience in recruitment in the mining industry and your ability to foster strong relationships with candidates and Hiring Managers. What you’ll do Deliver full end-to-end talent acquisition, ensuring an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring manager. Contribute to development and execution of relevant projects to deliver a long-term viable ‘just in time’ talent pipeline. Develop process and approach for Talent to enable a proactive talent pipeline with a focus on critical roles and hot market areas e.g. Trades, engineers, skilled operators Scope and deliver process improvement projects for the talent team and seek new ways to improve recruitment processes, candidate care, and onboarding to ensure minimal time to hire and optimal candidate and hiring manager experience and compliance with company and legislation requirements. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within Talent Acquisitions. Develop strong relationships with HR partners and operational leaders on-site to influence outcomes Maintain relationships with organisations who can positively and sustainably contribute to our talent pipeline e.g. (agencies/universities/veteran outplacement) Collaborate with the communications teams to enhance the company’s employer brand, promoting the organisation as an employer of choice through various channels. Facilitate candidate management via Aeris’ online candidate management system and candidate experience platform In consultation with HR Leads, develop and maintain reports to track recruitment performance and metrics in weekly/monthly/annual report Regular travel to mine sites to engage with and influence leaders and hiring managers Liaise with site operations teams regarding alternative approaches to address labour shortages What you bring 6 years in recruitment within Mining or Heavy/Blue-collar sectors. Strong stakeholder relationship management at all levels. Knowledge of employment contracts and conditions. Proficient in HRIS, LinkedIn, and computer literacy. Effective time management and multitasking abilities. Proactive in seeking process improvements and solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Self-motivated with enthusiasm and commitment. Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business or HR) preferred, not required. Collaborative and team-oriented to support business goals.
