Osteria Coogee is a vibrant, high-volume restaurant located by the stunning Coogee coastline. We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our passionate kitchen brigade. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present high-quality menu items in line with venue standards Maintain efficiency and consistency during busy service periods Assist with menu planning, seasonal specials, and recipe development Ensure proper food handling, storage, temperature control and hygiene practices Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to maintain smooth kitchen operations Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food waste Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment at all times Train and guide junior kitchen staff as required Follow safety and HACCP-based food safety standards Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Chef working within a busy commercial kitchen Strong knowledge of Italian and/or modern Australian cuisine highly regarded Excellent communication, time management and teamwork skills Ability to perform under pressure and meet service demands Understanding of food safety regulations and best-practice kitchen standards Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification preferred What We Offer Competitive salary based on skills and experience A supportive and professional team environment Opportunities for career development and skill growth Work in an iconic beachside location Click “Apply for this job” to register your interest in this fulltime salaried position with a salary range of $76K-$80K plus super
