What is the Role? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Assistant to join our team on a term-time only basis for the 2026 school year. You will be required to work five days per week, in the Sports Office at St Andrew's Cathedral School at St Andrew's House, and the potential to be involved in Saturday sport grounds management. Five days per week can be made up of four weekdays and a Saturday or 5 weekdays. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting with the co-curricular sporting program Potential to be involved in Saturday sport programs Maintenance and stock take of School sporting equipment Saturday sport arrangements (court/field supervision Teaching assistance during PE Offsite classes (where possible) The Role offers the opportunity to: Study for a Strength and Conditioning Certificate ASCA Level 1 (this will be determined by discussion with the Head of Sport and Athlete and Team Development Manager) Coach a sport within the Sport Department (additional payments are made for these roles over and above the basic position description) Who will the successful applicant be? A self-starter, with the ability to take initiative A student who has completed their Year 12 in 2025 OR A person who is part way through or completed sport related post school study, or a person who is keen to be involved in schools Passionate about sport, so much that it is contagious, encouraging and developing that passion in young people A detailed position description is attached top RHS of advertisement.
