The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Field Service Engineer - Histology & Microscopy to join a highly regarded service team, based in Sydney, NSW. This hands-on technical role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialised laboratory equipment used in histology and microscopy environments. You'll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and outstanding technical support. Key Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair histology and microscopy laboratory equipment Diagnose technical faults efficiently to minimise disruption in laboratory environments Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and validation activities Prepare detailed service documentation, reports, quotations, and recommendations Build strong, professional relationships with customers and partners Provide technical guidance and training when required Support sales activities through technical advice, demonstrations, and trials Manage service assets, spare parts, and loan equipment Follow all safety, compliance, and quality procedures Travel interstate and overseas for training and customer support as required About You You are a practical, customer-focused engineer who enjoys working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment. To succeed in this role, you will have: At least 5 years' experience servicing biomedical or scientific laboratory equipment A Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and customer engagement abilities High attention to detail and strong time-management skills A valid Australian driver's licence Unrestricted Australian working rights and a current passport Experience with histology or microscopy equipment is advantageous but not essential.
