Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering accurate and timely payroll? We are partnering with a leading Australian organisation seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join their People & Culture team. Reporting to the Compensation & Benefits Lead, this role will manage payroll processes across multiple pay cycles, liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors and ensure compliance with payroll legislation. About the Role As a Payroll Specialist, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of payroll tasks, including pre-payroll activities, processing payments and managing employee queries. You will work closely with onshore and offshore Finance teams, People & Culture colleagues and external service providers to maintain smooth payroll operations. Key responsibilities include: Deliver pre-payroll administrative tasks for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles. Process termination payments, redundancies, back payments, superannuation lodgements and other payroll obligations. Ensure processes are followed to minimise errors, duplication and compliance risk. Provide expert advice to managers and employees on payroll queries and issues. Support the implementation and coordination of employee benefits. Keep the People & Culture team and wider business updated on legislative changes impacting payroll. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, delivering high levels of customer service. Who We're Looking For Minimum 2 years' payroll experience in a corporate environment. Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar payroll systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Flexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Commercial and strategic awareness of payroll implications.
