Australian Citizens with current NV1 clearance ACT, VIC, NSW - Onsite Our esteemed Federal Govt. client is seeking experienced 3x Senior Security Systems Engineers – NV1 Cleared for a long term contract role! About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Engineer to act as a subject matter expert, providing advice, design, implementation, and remediation of security controls across a diverse suite of technologies. This role supports multiple Australian Government entities, enhancing the security posture of systems ranging from Official to Top Secret classification. Key Responsibilities: Deliver expert advice and implement security controls across government systems. Develop documentation for security engineering and administrative tasks (SOPs, design documentation, change requests, etc.). Facilitate and participate in workshops focused on security design and remediation. Develop and test prototype security configurations to inform guidance and standards. Implement security controls in line with the Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential Eight, and other industry standards. Skills & Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer, with expertise in one or more of: Microsoft Active Directory Networking, Gateway or Software Defined Networking Cross Domain Solutions and/or Diodes Sentinel or Splunk Enterprise Linux/Unix (e.g., RHEL) Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) Complex Windows Enterprise Environments. Ability to work independently and effectively in hybrid or remote teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and executive briefings.
