(NG6, band 1) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available About your opportunity: The Lactation Consultant provides specialised, evidence-based lactation support within the Neonatal Unit, which delivers family-centred care to newborns and families across North Queensland as the only tertiary neonatal service outside Brisbane. Working across the NICU, Special Care Nursery and the neonatal Retrieval/Transport Service, the role directly assists mothers to establish and maintain milk supply, manage lactation challenges, and progress their babies from tube to oral and breastfeeding. Role Requirements: Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA). Certified as a Lactation Consultant as per the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). Completion of Neonatal Specific Competencies is mandatory for nursing staff working within the Neonatal Unit. This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
