The Role An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Measurement Scientist- Senior (Paediatric Echocardiography) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Deliver complex cardiac echocardiography services in the paediatric unit Lead and coordinate education for students and junior staff Apply evidence based practice to guide advanced paediatric echocardiography decisions Participate in outreach paediatric clinics and contribute to research activities Provide echocardiography clinical advice, mentorship, and uphold safe practice in the paediatric area About you To be successful in this position you will require: Tertiary degree in health science (or equivalent) Graduate or Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound General Sonographer registration with ASAR Blue Card (GCH will cover cost) Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Temporary part time (up to 12 months with the possibility for extension, 30.4 hrs p.f.) Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour About Us The Clinical Measurements Unit (Cardiac) offers a wide range of cardiac diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise stress echocardiography, dobutamine stress echocardiography, pacemaker/implantable cardioverter defibrillator interrogation and programming, cardiac electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterisation monitoring, exercise stress testing, electrocardiograms, tilt tables testing, Ambulatory Blood Pressure (APB) monitoring, holter and event monitoring.
