You will: - Provide strong and effective leadership of the registry and courthouse ensuring a supportive and cohesive workplace environment for all staff;- Ensure that the delivery of trauma-informed, compassionate and culturally appropriate services which are responsive to stakeholder needs is central to CSQ's strategic planning and service delivery;- Champion a best practice approach to risk management by recognising and responding to risks relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users with a focus on court safety for staff and all court users. This also includes determining appropriate actions and pathways for information sharing with other internal or external parties.- Efficiently implement and champion policy and procedural reforms, with a specific emphasis on fostering innovative and consistent policies and procedures that are pertinent to the courts and the broader regions;- Formulate strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing community awareness and understanding of the justice system, while effectively achieving organisational objectives and supporting court users from disadvantaged backgrounds;- Cultivate and nurture professional and collaborative relationships based on respectful and confidential engagement with key stakeholders including judiciary members and their staff, government agencies, self-represented litigants, and the general public to provide effective service delivery and support;- Actively manage financial, human resource, data and risk management practices to ensure accountability and efficiency;- Establish and uphold robust workforce planning, performance management, staff development and mentoring frameworks with the registry to achieve CSQ strategic and operational goals;- Contribute to high-level reporting and analysis of operations data, ensuring the integrity of data is maintained on Courts' databases including the Queensland Wide Interlinked Court (QWIC) system and the civil case management system (QCase);- Oversee the management of registry workloads while fostering and driving a culture of excellence in service delivery, innovation and continuous improvement;- Fulfill statutory duties as a Justice of the Peace, Clerk of the Court and Registrar as required, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and the integrity of court processes; this may include making highly complex and abstract operational and quasi-judicial decisions within legislative parameters and follow established procedures, protocols, and governance mechanisms. Any quasi-judicial decisions made may be subject to review by a Court;- Serve as a representative of the department in committees and meetings as necessary, effectively communicating CSQ perspectives and contributing to decision-making processes;- Oversee appropriate record keeping practices relevant to Queensland Court Services (including retention, archiving and disposal activities) through the appropriate allocation of resources.- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisory and management staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and organisational objectives.
