About the Role Full-time, Melbourne-based Business Development Manager position focused on electronic security solutions. Drive business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities within key verticals. Lead client acquisition efforts across commercial, government, and critical infrastructure sectors. Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations in collaboration with internal teams. Attend client meetings, presentations, and site visits to develop tailored service solutions. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with new and existing clients. Partner with operations and compliance teams to ensure smooth contract delivery and KPI achievement. Ensure all contracts and tenders comply with relevant industry awards and legislation. Participate in business development meetings, maintain CRM data, and provide detailed sales activity reports. Contribute to marketing and tender documentation development. The Successful Candidate Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, account management, or operations within the electronic security industry. Strong knowledge of electronic security systems integration (e.g., CCTV, alarms, access control). Proven experience preparing and winning tenders or commercial proposals. Basic understanding of security personnel management, licensing, and service delivery. Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills. Holds a current Vic Security Licence (Security Advisor) and Vic Driver’s Licence. Exposure to electronic security system integration or monitoring centres is desirable. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., simPRO) and managing large commercial or multi-site accounts is advantageous. Commercially minded, customer-focused, and confident communicator with strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills. Self-driven, disciplined, results-oriented, and collaborative.
