About the role The Psychologist role provides psychological assessment and intervention to children, young people, and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, and emotional concerns. This role operates as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of a child/young person's developmental strengths and challenges to optimise their participation and engagement in activities of everyday life. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Psychology clinical expertise and skill within a health setting. Demonstrates knowledge of the provision psychology services in a community health service. Excellent verbal and written skills in application to effective communication with patients, Psychologists, and multi-disciplinary team members in a hospital and/or community health setting. Ability to identify areas for service development and actively contribute to quality improvement and clinical research activities. Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff. Mandatory Requirements: Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16 Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
