About the role The role applies high-level clinical knowledge and expertise in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) field to contribute to the development and delivery of specialist AOD education, training, and practice resources that strengthen the AOD practice capabilities of statutory child safety workers across Queensland. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Contribute to the consultation, development, delivery, and review of best practice, evidence-based AOD training and education content that enhances the professional knowledge, skill, and confidence of child safety workers to assess and effectively respond to vulnerable families and young people experiencing AOD-related risks and harms in Queensland. Utilising principles of adult learning, facilitate the delivery of face-to-face and virtual training to child safety workers across Queensland. Contribute to the design, development, and review of a range of AOD practice tools, job-aids, and other practical resources for child safety workers, alongside resources directly targeting parents, carers, family members and significant others involved in the child protection system in Queensland. Maintain high-level and contemporary knowledge and skills in AOD treatment and support through ongoing professional development, research, clinical practice, and supervision. Ensure expertise is reflected in the development of education, training, and workforce development resources, while maintaining professional accountability, credentialing, and compliance with Metro North Mental Health Allied Health Services standards and requirements.
