This role will perform complex and diverse scientific and technical tasks and engage in independent decision making and judgement on a day to day basis with minimal clinical practise supervision in the analysis of patient specimens. A part time permanent role where yo will be a valued Scienitst in a team of friendly Health Professionals. Key competencies (role specific criteria): You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: Demonstrates a competent level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Haematology and Transfusion. Demonstrated ability to participate in a single-discipline or multidisciplinary team on a 24 hr / 7 day roster, oncall and contribute a range of diagnostic skills relevant to the discipline. Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to a Haematology and Transfusion service with provision of results and clinical advice in a client focused manner. Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation / certification. * Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
