About the Opportunity The purpose of this position is to control the corporate quality management systems ensuring robust and fit for purpose quality processes exist that satisfy best practice and meet both internal and external stakeholder requirements; this includes legal requirements and customer expectations. The Quality Manager educates and holds employees accountable on compliance, ensuring all non-conformances are adequately addressed in a timely manner. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and provides support and direction across all areas of the business. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Drive compliance with the Company Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001, and ISO 29001 Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Quality Management Systems. Managing all internal and external audits. Maintain audit register and perform audits such as Quality audits, Management Systems audits and supplier audits in accordance with the approved audit schedule or as required by projects. Liaising with external auditors, suppliers and ICON clients Create a proactive Quality culture within the operations team to reduce errors and re-work in projects, monitoring the effectiveness of the systems and continually supporting ICONs commitment to process improvement. Assist PMs/SPMs on compliance with client driven QA/QC requirements on projects. Ensure continuous improvement of the ICON Management System, ensuring all internal and client requirements are satisfied accordingly. Monitor and manage all non-conformances, hold employees/process owners accountable as required, ensuring all non-conformances are closed out in a timely manner. Management of a small team of Quality Advisors and QC specialists. Actively participating in Business Development and Project kick-off activity, by reviewing project Quality requirements, and providing relevant input to proposals and scope of work preparation. About You Relevant qualifications in Quality Management, or similar. Experience as a Quality Manager in an Engineering company. Oil and gas experience is preferred, however experience in mining, construction, manufacturing, or other heavy industry will be considered as well. Able to interpret client contractual documents and understand their impact on internal processes and systems. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously. Collaborative, and builds relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to hold people accountable at all levels to ensure compliance of the overall Quality Management Systems.
