ABOUT YOU: You must: Be bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. have strong understanding of chemical process design, thermodynamics, mass/heat transfer, and reaction engineering. have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job. be committed to a career in your field of study. be able to work at least 3 days per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, evaluate, and optimise chemical processes to improve product quality and production efficiency. Conduct research, process simulations, and laboratory tests to support continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare technical documentation, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor daily plant operations and troubleshoot process-related issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or process modifications. Analyse data, prepare reports, and present findings to project teams or management. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to achieve operational goals. Support risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and safety audits. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, CHEMCAD) is preferred. Excellent communication and technical writing abilities. Strong organisation skills with attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
