Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance , community connection and referral services. About the role As a Community Outreach Manager , this is your opportunity to ensure service delivery and operational management is a ligned with national and state strategic plans, and the National Homelessness Stream Model of Care. Reporting to the Metro Regional Development Manager , this is a permanent full-time role, located in West Melbourne, VIC . How you will make an impact Lead implementation and ongoing delivery of the National Homelessness Stream Model of Care, ensuring inclusive and high-quality services aligned with national and state agendas Oversee operational performance across programs including compliance, budgeting, asset management and risk management Manage and support staff through effective recruitment, rostering, performance management and the development of a positive workplace culture Ensure service quality and responsiveness through feedback systems, complaint management and continuous improvement driven by data and client insight Build strong stakeholder partnerships, contribute to sector development through forums and networks, and guide local strategic planning and service evolution What you will bring A Tertiary qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field or demonstrated experience attained through previous appointments, service and study/development Demonstrated experience in social service environment including in leading and supervising staff A current VIC employee Working with Children’s Check What we offer The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
