Job Description Reporting to the Director of Clinical & Maternity Services, this role will play an active role within the Senior Leadership Team at Epworth Freemasons and provide strong leadership in service planning, risk management, building teams and delivering a culture of excellence to support our purpose, “every patient matters”. Responsible for the leadership and governance across: Maternity services; including Birth suite, postnatal, special care nursery and outreach hotel program, 5 surgical/medical wards, Intensive care unit and our Day oncology service, the key focus of this role is to manage the operational and strategic direction of Epworth Freemasons incorporating the Albert Street and Victoria Parade hospitals, and focus on continuous improvement in clinical governance, patient satisfaction, business development, and risk management, whilst building engaged teams and driving a culture of accountability. As one of Victoria's leading maternity hospitals, Epworth Freemasons specialises in women’s and men’s health services including breast and gynaecological surgery, endoscopy and urology. Epworth Freemasons also offers comprehensive cancer care, and a full range of surgical services, including robotic assisted surgery, orthopaedics and ICU care. Epworth Freemasons has recently upgraded and expanded its operating theatres and admissions facilities, along with major refurbishments of patient rooms and building infrastructure. Key areas of focus for this role include: Having a strong leadership presence with our nursing and medical staff. Providing strong, visionary clinical leadership across Maternity and Clinical Services ensuring effective operational management to deliver excellence in care. Management of operational business including key indicators within the finance, human resources and service access portfolios. Aligning clinical education programs with specific training and operational requirements. Strong focus on staff and patient satisfaction programs.
