This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Designer to join a high-performing team and contribute to the success of a key client. With presence across the globe we are active in leading the way from front end conceptual studies through to EPCM delivery in Copper, Rare-Earths, Nickel, Gold, Lithium etc Responsibilities Reporting to the Lead Designer, as part of this role, you will be working within a team of engineering professionals in the delivery of engineering works on nominated projects/studies. Your key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to: - Responsible for production and/or review of engineering deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, evaluations etc Delivering best practice E&I design and documentation in alignment with the Company organizational and Client requirements Participate in design reviews Ensure that design activities are performed within allocated project budgets and time constraints to ensure tasks are delivered on time and in a cost-effective manner Maintain and apply a working knowledge of design standards and codes Ensure that all design deliverables have been prepared, checked and approved in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance system and drafting procedures Work in conjunction with other Discipline Designers, Engineers and supervisors to support engineering project delivery Readily take ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements on the project At Wood, we look for innovative ideas and an agile approach to deliver the best possible outcomes and offer you an opportunity to progress and thrive by working collectively and making an active contribution. Expected: You will be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for this location. Ideally you will have proven experience working in a similar role, supported by 10 years of relevant design experience within the Mining and / or processing industries. In addition, you will: Prior experience in Electrical design within mineral processing facilities Strong knowledge in applying relevant Electrical / Instrumentation industry design practices and key national and international standards and codes Good written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team Ability to deliver best practice design and drafting, with emphasis on cost-effective design Competency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Knowledge of and exposure to key Clients in Mining & Minerals It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow’s solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.
