About the Role We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join a high-performing R&D team in Sydney. In this role, you will architect, develop, and optimise embedded firmware for advanced imaging devices and connected ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet stringent performance and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement embedded firmware for ARM-based platforms. Work with RTOS/Linux environments and integrate complex subsystems. Optimise performance for real-time video, audio, and wireless connectivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and manufacturing stages. The Successful Candidate To excel in this role, you will bring: 8 years experience in embedded firmware development. Strong proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell). Hands-on experience with ARM architectures, RTOS/Linux, and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART). Knowledge of multimedia subsystems (video/audio pipelines) and wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
