About the opportunity: Business as usual (monthly/quarterly): ‒ Monthly reporting – timely preparation of the monthly results packs, including analytical commentary and presentation of results to relevant stakeholders in monthly meetings. ‒ Balance sheet reconciliations – preparation and sign off of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. ‒ BAS returns – prepare and analyse BAS returns using automated software. ‒ Unit statements - prepare monthly unit statements ‒ Quarterly distribution calculations – preparation of tax calculations to support quarterly distributions. ‒ Cashflow management – monitor and manage short-term cash position. Timely completion of bank reconciliations and processing of journals. Annual reporting activities: ‒ Financial statements –preparation of the annual financial statements to a high standard. ‒ Coordination with auditors – preparation of supporting workpapers and responding to queries from auditors. Ad-hoc/non routine: ‒ Improving processes – pro-actively seek and implement process/systems improvements within the team and across Finance. ‒ Transactions – assist with the transferring of funds and ad-hoc accounting for transactions as and when they arise. Collaboration and culture: ‒ Proactively collaborate and partner with the business and all stakeholders (internal and external). ‒ Proactively share knowledge, experience and information with the team.
