About the role: This newly uplifted position requires an experienced and technically capable Facilities Manager ideally with Retail and/or Industrial FM experience. It is a senior, hands-on role overseeing building services, CAPEX, compliance and contractor management across a high-profile large format retail portfolio. You will have an Assistant Facilities Manager reporting to you, with the expectation that the team will grow as the portfolio continues to expand. Strong technical acumen, particularly across fire systems, plumbing, HVAC and general building services - is essential. This role will suit someone confident working autonomously, building strong tenant relationships and providing consistent leadership within the facilities management function. Duties will include: Leading the FM function across a large format retail / bulky goods portfolio Delivering capital works in line with scope, budget and timelines Overseeing building services, maintenance programs and overall operational performance Ensuring all sites meet compliance, safety and statutory obligations Inducting and managing contractors, monitoring performance and service delivery Supporting and mentoring your Assistant FM, delegating tasks and developing capability Building strong relationships with tenants and key stakeholders Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and long-term asset plans Providing exceptional customer service and upholding the company’s high standards To be considered for this role, you will have: 10 years’ experience in Retail and/or Industrial Facilities Management Strong technical understanding of fire systems, plumbing, HVAC and essential services Proven ability to lead and develop junior staff or contractors A track record managing large format retail, bulky goods or complex industrial assets High-level organisation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills Confidence working in a fast-paced, multi-asset environment Ability to build strong relationships quickly and maintain a customer-first approach How to apply If you have the required experience, please apply directly to this advert.
