Coal Creek Motel is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Chef to join our team. Salary Range – $75,000 to $80,000 Business Location – Korumburra VIC 3950 Responsibilities Plan and design menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences. Estimate food and labour costs, monitor kitchen budgets, and manage food supply ordering and stock control. Oversee the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards are consistently met. Discuss food preparation methods and workflow with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen, and front-of-house staff. Demonstrate and supervise cooking techniques, providing guidance on procedures, hygiene, and safety standards. Prepare and cook meals across a variety of cuisines, including catering to dietary and allergy requirements. Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and enforce workplace health and safety protocols. Skills and Qualifications AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification. Strong Knowledge of Cooking Methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment Ability to work full-time in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
