What’s the job? The Senior Academic Administration Coordinator (Senior AAC) provides leadership and oversight of a team of Academic Administration Officers, ensuring the equitable and sustainable allocation of workload and resources to support high-quality academic administration services across the student lifecycle. This role ensures Officer deliverables are met, aligns team outputs with institutional priorities, and collaborates closely with the Academic Administration leadership team to maintain and continuously improve service quality, consistency, and compliance across the University. Principal a ccountabilities are (but not limited to) : Leadership and Team Management Manage and lead a team of Academic Administration Officers, ensuring equitable and sustainable workload distribution, clear deliverables, and efficient resourcing across functions and peak periods. Operational and Service Delivery Oversight Oversee the delivery of academic administration functions performed by Officers, including course administration, results processing, progression management, accreditation and review, graduation, timetabling, international compliance, and governance support. Project and Quality Coordination Coordinate and monitor team contributions to academic administration projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with academic and professional staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support for academic delivery, student success, and governance outcomes. Leadership Accountabilities Build and lead a high-performing team driven by accountability, efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence. Who you are: To be successful in this role, you will have: A minimum of 5 years’ experiences within the VET or Higher Education (Dual Sector preferred). Demonstrated experience managing or supervising staff within academic administration or related functions. Strong experience in quality assurance, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead service delivery within complex, fast-paced environments. Proven ability to manage projects and deliver measurable process and service improvements. Skilled in mapping, analysing , and optimising workflows using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods. Experience supporting automation, system enhancements, and digital solutions. Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills. Why join us?
