We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to lead our organisation’s approach to biodiversity and to oversee the monitoring and reporting of our environmental outcomes. The Role: We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Biodiversity Lead to join our Sustainability & Environment team based in Perth’s CBD . Please note that this role will involve frequent day and overnight travel to some of our WA sites. You will play a vital part in the implementation of our Sustainability strategy. As part of Harvest Road Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability, this role will work closely with our Agribusiness and Aquaculture Teams to help them understand the importance of positive environmental management, lead understanding of biodiversity across the organisation, monitor and report on environmental outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement extension programs and services designed to assist teams on property to enhance productivity, profitability and sustainability. Maintain monitoring scheduling and coordinate sampling regime. Assist and coordinate with property managers for ongoing program monitoring. Budget development, implementation and monitoring in line with HRG budgeting process. Actively engage and manage program expectations with external, internal stakeholders and assist in eliminating roadblocks. Run project planning status meetings, site meetings and provide regular project updates to the leadership team. Act as the point of contact for program activities. Provide sustainability leadership and technical advice in relation to biodiversity. Traveling to site to coordinate and monitor projects through the entire program lifecycle. About You: Tertiary qualified or applied experience in a commercial or technical discipline related to Environmental Science, Terrestrial Ecology, Marine Biology, Environmental Management, Agricultural science or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Demonstrated ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at a wide range of understanding. Excellent communication both verbal and written. Good understanding of vegetation, soil and landscape ecology. Highly developed data collection, manage databases, analytical skills and the ability to present complex issues. A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The ability to work remotely (field work), autonomously, problem solve and work with ambiguity. Hold a current driver’s licence. What’s In It For You?
