About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Technician to join our new Ballarat team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in supporting flour milling operations through advanced digital systems and technology. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude in automation and data systems who is keen to learn milling fundamentals and apply them in a cutting-edge environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor milling processes using digital control systems (e.g., SCADA, NIR) Apply automation and data insights to optimise performance and troubleshoot issues Support routine maintenance and hygiene programs, ensuring accurate digital record-keeping Collaborate with millers and cross-functional teams to resolve process anomalies and drive continuous improvement Maintain compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and contribute to a safe work environment About You You're a technical problem solver with a passion for learning and innovation. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited by the opportunity to help shape a digitally enabled milling operation. You will bring: Technical qualifications and experience, ideally in food manufacturing or industrial automation Experience with digital systems (SCADA, PLC, data analysis) and process control Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) A learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies and processes Desirable: Milling or grain science background Experience in automated production environments What's on offer at Mauri?
