We pride ourselves on our fantastic team culture, teamwork and positive work environment. We are currently seeking Welders to join our busy workshop in Perth. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor you will repair a wide range of light vehicles, buses, and large trucks you will also be required to maintain a safe working environment. The successful candidate must possess or demonstrate the following: Structural steelwork, plate work and pipework experience is essential. Minimum 5 years of MIG/FCAW/ARC or TIG welding experience. Must be able to demonstrate clean and quality MIG/FCAW or TIC welds. Heavy Duty welding used in maintaining, repairing, replacing and fabrication on all fleet vehicles. Fabricate ramps, signage posts and frames. Read drawings and blueprints, take and read measurements to plan layouts and procedures. Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method needed based on the requirements of the job. Align components using callipers, rulers etc and clamp pieces. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, flat, or overhead). Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify faults. Report damages on machines and equipment. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Treat vehicles with rust proofing chemicals and minor painting. Proven previous workshop experience. Forklift license (advantageous). A site trade test will be required before any offer of employment is made. To be successful the following is required: Trade qualified or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role for at least 5 years. Intermediate English level required. Excellent communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Be reliable, punctual & dedicated. Strong commitment to health and safety. Current drivers license. Ability to work in a team environment and positive work ethic. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen. EMPLOYMENT DETAILS: Hourly rate $42 – $47/hr depending on experience based on a 38-hour week. Employment Basis: Full-time employment. These roles are open to permanent Australian residents only.
