We're working with a leading global entertainment platform that's expanding its editorial team and looking for a Korea-focused Synopsis Writer . If you're a brilliant English writer with a deep love of Korean content - and you can comfortably watch Korean shows without subtitles - this is a genuinely exciting opportunity. You'll be part of the team behind the text that tens of millions of viewers read every day: synopses, descriptions, and editorial copy for some of the biggest Korean titles across reality, drama, film, and documentary. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes entertainment, knows the nuances of Korean culture, and can craft tight, engaging, world-class copy at pace. What You'll Be Doing Writing clear, creative, high-impact English synopses for Korean movies, dramas, variety shows, documentary series and more. Collaborating closely with editorial specialists based in Seoul - daily overlap required. Bringing cultural understanding and contextual accuracy to every piece of writing. Managing your own deadlines and workload autonomously (minimum ~2 titles per week). Working in an environment that values candid feedback, editorial standards, and exceptional craft. What They're Looking For Exceptional English writing ability - ideally with a background in entertainment writing (reviews, features, synopses, journalism, script/story coverage). Ability to watch and understand Korean content without subtitles . Strong familiarity with Korean entertainment, culture, context and genre conventions. US-English writing style preferred. Comfortable working closely with teams in Korea and managing your own timelines. Prior experience in large entertainment organisations (SBS, SKY, Disney, NBC, etc.) is highly regarded. Highly self-sufficient and confident in producing polished copy consistently. Why This Role Stands Out Full-time remote contract with the backing of a world-class global team. A genuinely creative role with impact - the copy you write will shape how viewers discover content every day. Fast-moving, collaborative environment with the opportunity for long-term extension (likely through end of 2026). Chance to work on the biggest Korean titles in the world. If you're a standout entertainment writer with strong Korean cultural knowledge - and this sounds like you - I'd love to hear from you.
