Strategic Policy and Programs is seeking a Policy Officer for the Better Regulation Team. Better Regulation is responsible for developing and implementing the government’s night-time economy (NTE) reform agenda to increase growth and productivity in this sector. Better Regulation is also responsible for developing a program of ‘better regulation’ reform by making continual improvements to rules, regulations and processes to better support businesses, the community and government. Working in a small team, the Policy Officer will engage in diverse work to progress NTE and regulatory reforms. Better Regulation is looking for a Policy Officer that wants to work in an interesting and diverse space to develop innovative solutions to problems facing the community and government. The Policy Officer will have developed policy and analysis skills, well developed communication and collaboration skills and can operate in an environment where processes and end products may be ambiguous.
