About the Role Set within the beautifully restored home of St Hugo in the Barossa Valley, our restaurant pairs world‑class wines with the finest local, seasonal ingredients to create an experience that is as memorable as it is delicious. We’re looking for a Front of House Host to join our team in a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week) — a rare opportunity in the hospitality industry that offers genuine stability and long-term career growth. You’ll be the person who makes every guest feel at home, guiding them through food and wine service with ease, charm, and professionalism. This role goes beyond hosting; you’ll manage guest arrivals, reservations, and seating flow, support day-to-day restaurant and cellar door operations, and maintain high standards through housekeeping and stock management. What You'll Do: Deliver exceptional customer service while performing food and beverage operations to brand standards. Drive sales, Wine Club sign-ups, and customer data capture to meet Brand Home KPIs. Work effectively both independently and in a team, demonstrating strong time management and attention to detail. Apply wine knowledge, selling skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement. Competently use POS systems and support service across both the St Hugo Grant Burge Wine Lounge and Restaurant.
