Roles and Responsibilities Dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements and professional standards. Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions, promoting safe and effective medication management. Conduct medication reviews and participate in medication management programs to optimise patient outcomes. Supervise and mentor pharmacy assistants and interns, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to policies and procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate records, inventory control, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Promote public health initiatives and provide education to the community on various health-related topics. Participate in continuing professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor of Pharmacy degree recognised in Australia or equivalent qualification. Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with relevant pharmacy software.
