Mount Isa Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Paediatrician to lead as the Director of Paediatrics . This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on paediatric healthcare across North West Queensland. About the Role: Lead and manage the Paediatrics Department, including inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, emergency care, and outreach services. Oversee and mentor medical staff, registrars, and students, with opportunities for teaching and research in collaboration with James Cook University Medical School. Collaborate with the Executive Director of Medical Services and other senior leaders to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care. Engage with remote and Indigenous communities, providing culturally safe healthcare. About You: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent. Current general and specialist registration with AHPRA. Proven leadership and clinical experience in paediatrics, preferably with regional or remote practice experience. Strong commitment to teaching, research, and quality improvement. Remuneration & Benefits: Attractive salary: $554,859 – $684,767 per annum (plus on-call, allowances, and penalties).
