It’s a pivotal opportunity for an experienced ER/IR professional to contribute specialist expertise during a strategically important time for the organisation. You’ll join a high-performing P&C team and step into a fast-paced environment where variety and complexity are the norm. Your days will span interpreting multiple industrial instruments, advising on complex people matters, and partnering closely with leaders across the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, detail-driven and operating with a true “boots & all” approach. Responsibilities Lead enterprise agreement negotiations, ensuring alignment with business needs and future operational requirements. Shape and deliver IR strategies that support growth, mitigate risk and strengthen the organisation’s industrial framework. Interpret and apply legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements with confidence. Support operations teams with expert guidance on managing right-of-entry requests and interactions with union representatives. Provide practical advice across all areas of employee and industrial relations, including grievances, misconduct, investigations, and performance management. Develop and deliver training, tools and resources that build capability in industrial relations and compliance across leaders and key stakeholders. Build leader capability through coaching, feedback, and trusted partnership. Contribute to continuous improvement of ER/IR policies, practices and frameworks, ensuring ongoing compliance and alignment with organisational priorities. Essential Skills and Attributes Proven experience providing expert advice on modern award interpretation, compliance, and risk mitigation. Experience in leading the negotiations enterprise agreements. Knowledge of industrial relations principles and experience in application of these within a civil construction business. Proven management skills, practices and planning ability. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities with minimal supervision Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others. Tertiary qualification – Business, Human Resource, Employment Law or similar (desirable) What’s next?
