Joey Restaurant, located in the heart of beautiful Palm Beach, is seeking a qualified and passionate Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. Known for its modern Australian cuisine with a coastal twist, Joey offers a relaxed yet refined dining experience that celebrates fresh, local ingredients and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant’s established standards and seasonal menu. Assist in menu planning and creation, incorporating local and seasonal produce. Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations to ensure efficiency during busy service periods. Maintain high standards of food presentation, hygiene, and safety at all times. Manage stock levels, control wastage, and assist with ordering and inventory management. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain consistency and performance. Skills and Experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification). Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or hotel environment. Strong understanding of food safety, handling, and WHS compliance. Excellent time management and organisational skills. A genuine passion for delivering high-quality food and a positive dining experience.
