Since its inception in 2001 the company has strived to make sure it supplies the best quality products for the Australian market. They now seek an experienced Business Analyst to join the team in Dandenong VIC. This is for a full time role with an annual salary of $77,000 Superannuation. The Responsibilities: Analyse business operations across product lines such as spices, snacks, frozen items, seafood, beverages, and ethnic food products to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Collect, interpret, and model sales, cost, and inventory data to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate supply chain performance for raw materials and finished products, identifying bottlenecks and recommending optimisation strategies. Conduct market research on ethnic food trends, competitor pricing, and consumer behaviour to guide product development and marketing. Develop business cases for new product launches, product reformulations, and expansion into new retail channels. Work closely with production teams to assess manufacturing performance, yield efficiency, and cost drivers across food product lines. Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for senior management, including forecasts, variance analysis, and profitability assessments. Coordinate with the procurement team to analyse supplier performance, cost fluctuations, and sourcing risks. Monitor compliance with food industry regulations and support preparation of documentation for audits or certification processes. Identify opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and system improvements within operations and supply chain workflows. Assist marketing teams with pricing models, product mix analysis, and campaign performance reporting. Support warehousing and logistics teams by analysing freight costs, cold-chain efficiency, and storage utilisation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, sales, production, QA) to support continuous improvement initiatives. Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for system enhancements or process redesign. The Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related discipline. At least 3 years' experience analysing business operations in FMCG, food manufacturing, or food distribution environments. At least 3 years' experience conducting financial modelling, cost analysis, and profitability assessments within food manufacturing industries. At least 3 years' experience working with supply chain and inventory management systems, including cold-chain or perishable goods workflows. At least 3 years' experience in market research, pricing studies, and consumer trend analysis. At least 3 years' experience gathering business requirements and developing functional specifications for system or process improvements. At least 3 years' experience preparing management reports using analytics tools; Power BI, Tableau, ERP dashboards, Excel modelling Strong understanding of FMCG operations, food product life cycles, and supply chain processes.
