Summary Summary We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Worker on behalf of our client, Chuckem Pastoral Trust , a family-owned mixed farming enterprise located in Highbury, Western Australia . This is a full-time, permanent position suited to a motivated and skilled individual with well-rounded experience in both broadacre cropping and livestock production . The role combines hands-on farm work with the ability to assist in supervising day-to-day farming activities across grain and livestock operations. About the Role Working under the direction of the farm manager and alongside a small, close-knit team, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the property’s mixed farming operations. This includes the operation and maintenance of broadacre machinery , livestock husbandry (primarily sheep) , and coordination of seasonal farm activities. This role requires a self-motivated person who can work independently and collaboratively, while maintaining high standards of workplace safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare . Key Duties and Responsibilities Supporting the planning and implementation of cropping programs including sowing, fertilising, spraying, and harvesting. Operating and maintaining broadacre farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, seeders, sprayers, and harvesters. Monitoring crop and pasture health, identifying pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies. Providing daily care and management of livestock, including feeding, monitoring, handling, and assisting with lambing or shearing activities. Transporting feed, grain, fertiliser, and other farm inputs using appropriate machinery. Assisting with supervision and coordination of seasonal or casual farm workers during peak periods. Performing general farm maintenance, including fencing, water systems, and equipment repairs. Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures and biosecurity standards at all times. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience To be considered for the position, applicants must meet one of the following: Hold an AQF Certificate II or equivalent and have at least 1.5 years (20 hours/week) of relevant post-qualification experience; OR Hold an AQF Certificate III or higher and have at least 1 year (20 hours/week) of relevant post-qualification experience; OR Have at least 1 year of full-time (38 hours/week) relevant experience in broadacre and livestock farming operations. Essential Requirements: Demonstrated experience in both broadacre crop production and livestock management (sheep or similar livestock). Strong practical knowledge of seeding, spraying, and harvesting systems. Experience operating and maintaining broadacre machinery and mechanical equipment. Understanding of WHS, biosecurity, and animal welfare regulations. Ability to work independently and within a small team environment. Good communication and basic record-keeping skills.
