As our Financial Accountant (Revenue & Operations), you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our financial engine is accurate, compliant, and scalable as we grow across Australia and internationally. What you’ll do Manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities — including journals, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and monthly & annual financial closes Oversee billing and revenue operations, including Stripe workflows and enterprise billing arrangements Own payroll and statutory compliance across our Australian and international entities Maintain accurate general ledgers and support consolidations across multiple entities Partner closely with our FP&A Lead on reporting, audit preparation, and board materials Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and systems as we scale Bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to building foundational finance capability in a fast-growing startup What we’re looking for 3–4 years’ experience in accounting or financial operations Experience with Stripe and/or enterprise billing (either is great — both is a plus) Strong understanding of multi-entity accounting, SaaS billing, revenue recognition, financial closes, and payroll Confident using Xero and Excel Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach A start-up mindset: resourceful, proactive, and comfortable building new processes from scratch Someone who cares deeply about accuracy, clarity, and doing things the right way At Lyrebird, we don’t just write code — you’ll help shape the future of the human experience.
