Offering 176 rooms and a relaxed restaurant and lobby bar, we are located centrally offering a quintessential Sydney experience. The Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of a small, hands-on team keeping the hotel looking sharp and operating smoothly. From painting to general repairs and upkeep, you’ll tackle a wide variety of tasks — no two days ever feel the same. This is a full-time position Tuesday - Saturday. What you’ll be doing: Ensuring all equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently and reliably for guests and colleagues. Supporting the long-term care of the hotel’s assets while upholding a polished, professional environment. Completing daily maintenance tasks and following preventative maintenance schedules with care and accuracy. Championing workplace health and safety, leading by example across every task and setting. Responding quickly and confidently to urgent repairs, bringing a calm, solutions-focused approach. Rolling up your sleeves and helping wherever needed — you’re practical, proactive and never afraid to get stuck in. About You: To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a blend of technical confidence, practical expertise and genuine pride in maintaining a premium, high-profile hotel environment. Ideally, you will have: Proven experience in hotel or property maintenance, with an understanding of the demands of a busy, guest-focused Sydney CBD environment. Competence across day-to-day repair tasks such as painting, plastering, patching, tiling and fixture repairs. Confidence managing pool operations, including regular chemical testing and equipment checks - especially important for rooftop or high-traffic facilities. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a calm, considered approach to unexpected or urgent repair needs. Strong understanding of WHS practices and a consistent commitment to maintaining a safe environment for guests, colleagues and contractors alike. Clear and professional communication skills, essential for working with leaders, external vendors and cross-department teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest centric setting, where discretion, professionalism and impact are always front of mind. Flexibility to work across a rotating seven-day roster, supporting a hotel that never stops moving.
