Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of strategic planning and master planning activities across Queensland’s network of State Boat Harbours. In this role, you will oversee the State Boat Harbour Master Planning Program, managing project plans, governance frameworks, consultant engagement and stakeholder coordination. This position is non-engineering, focused on governance, procurement, project delivery, and strategic planning functions that enable maritime infrastructure and long-term harbour development. Key Responsibilities • Lead the delivery of strategic planning projects and activities supporting harbour master planning and public marine infrastructure planning • Provide specialist advice on boat harbour planning, considering broader transport planning and regulatory contexts • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies, local councils and industry bodies • Support procurement processes including tender documentation, SAMI coordination and contractor evaluation • Oversee contract administration including progress claims, variations and contractor performance • Monitor financial performance, forecasts, cost tracking and milestone reporting • Maintain project schedules, governance documentation and risk registers • Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence to support government decision-making • Ensure compliance with departmental, WHS and sustainability requirements • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management systems and templates About You • Experience delivering strategic or infrastructure planning projects, ideally in town planning, transport planning or related disciplines • Strong capability in government project management, procurement, reporting and governance • High-level stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse internal and external groups • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and research capability • Understanding of planning, legislative and policy frameworks relevant to transport or maritime environments • Ability to work both autonomously and within a small team • Experience with 3PCM, SAP or MS Project beneficial • Ability to undertake occasional intrastate travel This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major state-wide planning program that shapes the future of Queensland’s maritime infrastructure and coastal communities.
